Blushing Brides

You have everything sorted, right down to what speed the Bridesmaids need to walk in at so that your entrance is bang on cue.  So why do you always leave yourself to last?  We know finding the perfect dress can be a challenge, but we want to make sure that perfecting your hair on the day isn't another challenge to put off until the last minute!  You need a style that will complement your dress, and makes your overall aesthetic harmonise with that style, not scream for attention against it!  Whether it's one shoulder or a classic Bateau neckline....We have a suggestion to help you decide!

High Neckline

This is an instantly majestic ultra-formal Style, you have probably chosen this to show the elegant length of your neck.  Styles to complement this should be up off the collar to help elongate this line.  A sleek bun does this, and enables you to show the full splendour of detailed collars that would be competing for eye-time underneath hair.  Take detailing in braids or loose plaits to give it an up-to-date feel, or keep it sleek and elegant with a perfectly executed Ballerina bun.

Bateau

Bateau neck lines are a go-to Bridal favourite and it's understandable why.  Choosing much else except for a low bun will deter the silhouette from being timeless.  If you go over the top with this neck line it will look way too busy  and almost look as if you are trying too hard (you've just done all the hard work...This is not the day to make the struggle real!) If you really don't like the sound of a low bun, then opt for a High Pony and give it some natural looking volume to give it an up to date revamp.

V-Neck

V-Neck dresses are typically designed to elongate the body and draw the eye all the way down.  After eating alpha alpha sprouts for 12 months and treating carbs like they have the nutritional content of Mercury...Who doesn't want to look elongated?  Long Hair = Long Silhouette, this will only lengthen the optical illusion that the V-Neck delivers.  Loose curls, side parting (if the face shape allows) and even loose finger waves will add an air of Hollywood Glamour to this shape.  If you have natural curls then consider half up-half down styles if you don't like the thought of battling with your hair during the day.

One Shoulder

Asymmetric or One-Shoulder Gowns draw attention to exactly that place...Your Shoulders.  You want to keep them visible so that you can deliver Dynasty worthy shoulders for everyone to admire.  Asymmetry in the dress could be complemented with A-Symmetry in the hair?  Think side pinned curls or a beautiful up-do swept to side to draw attention into this side of the body.

Strapless

The 'One Neckline Suits All' is definitely the Strapless.  We love a bit of romance here at Tommy's, and this shoulder exposure deserves romance all the way! With or without a Veil -  Chignons, with beautiful plaiting and braids loosely pulled out to add an air of effortless sophistication which we think works amazingly with this neckline.
